Convicted Killer Eric Holder Set To Face Jury

Nearly Four Years After Nipsey Hussle's Murder, Trial Begins

Convicted Killer Eric Holder Set to Face Jury

Jury Selection Underway in Los Angeles County Superior Court

LOS ANGELES, CA - Four long years after the senseless murder of beloved rapper Nipsey Hussle, the trial of his accused killer, Eric Holder, is finally underway. Holder, who was arrested two days after the fatal shooting in 2019, faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Jury selection began on Monday at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Prosecutors are expected to present evidence showing that Holder shot Hussle multiple times in front of his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles. Defense attorneys, however, claim that Holder acted in self-defense after being approached by Hussle and his associates.

The trial is expected to be highly emotional and closely watched by the hip-hop community. Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was an influential musician and philanthropist who was deeply involved in his South Los Angeles neighborhood. His death sent shockwaves throughout the city and beyond.

Holder has pleaded not guilty to all charges. If convicted of first-degree murder, he faces up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
